Poland accounting compliance requirements

Poland is phasing in KSeF, a mandatory national e-invoicing system rolling out from February 2026 through January 2027, on top of its long-standing JPK (Standard Audit File for Tax) reporting regime for VAT-registered businesses.

Centralised national e-invoicing platform becomes mandatory for large taxpayers on 1 February 2026, for most other VAT-registered businesses on 1 April 2026, and for micro-enterprises on 1 January 2027.

The Ministry of Finance will not impose financial penalties for KSeF violations throughout 2026, with fines starting from 1 January 2027.

All VAT-registered businesses must submit standardised XML tax data files to Polish tax authorities, with retention required for at least five years.
