France accounting compliance requirements

France is phasing in mandatory B2B e-invoicing and e-reporting for all VAT-registered businesses regardless of size, requiring invoices to be issued and received through a registered Plateforme Agrรฉรฉe (formerly PDP) or the public portal starting September 2026 for large and mid-sized companies and September 2027 for small and micro-enterprises.

All VAT-registered businesses must be able to receive electronic invoices from September 1, 2026, with large and mid-sized companies required to issue them from that date and small/micro-enterprises following from September 1, 2027.
