Czech Republic accounting compliance requirements

The Czech Republic repealed its original EET electronic sales-registration system in 2023, but lawmakers approved a modernised EET 2.0 in mid-2026 for relaunch on 1 January 2027, while VAT-registered businesses continue filing the monthly VAT Control Statement reporting invoice-level detail to the Financial Administration.

EET repeal (2023)

The Sales Registration Act was repealed with effect from 1 January 2023, ending the original mandatory electronic sales registration system.

EET 2.0 (2027 relaunch)

The Chamber of Deputies approved a modernised EET 2.0 without mandatory receipt printing or a constant online connection, targeting a 1 January 2027 launch, pending Senate and presidential approval.
