Frequently asked questions

Everything teams ask before switching from Ampersand to Apideck.

Ampersand calls itself integration infrastructure, not a unified API. You declare each integration in an amp.yaml file against each system's own objects, with per-customer field mappings, and Ampersand runs the reads, writes and event subscriptions. Apideck is a unified API: one data model per category across 200+ connectors, with field mapping, pass-through parameters and a Proxy API for anything the model does not cover. With Ampersand you, or its engineers, map every system to your schema. With Apideck, the mapping to a shared model is already done for each connector.

Ampersand's public provider list has read and write for NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo and Ramp. It does not list Exact, Visma, DATEV, Twinfield, Yuki, Moneybird, Pennylane, e-conomic, FreshBooks or Zoho Books. Apideck's Accounting API covers live and beta connectors across 48 countries, including Exact Online, DATEV, Twinfield and Pennylane.

Ampersand does not publish prices. It charges for infrastructure consumption, counted in actions (reads, writes, subscription events, searches and proxy calls), and each plan is agreed in a proposal after a call with its team. Apideck publishes its plans and charges per active consumer: the Launch plan is $599/month for 25 consumers, with a 30-day free trial.

Ampersand says it does not persist SaaS data, only installation metadata, field mappings and credentials. It reads on a schedule or on demand, with backfills and incremental syncs, and delivers results to a webhook or to destinations such as S3, Snowflake, BigQuery and SQS. Apideck also keeps no copy of third-party data: each request goes to the source system and the response comes back in the same call.

Ampersand's pricing page says customers can import tokens and export API keys and OAuth tokens at any time. Apideck documents token import through the Vault API, so existing connections move in without customers signing in again, and you can register your own OAuth app per connector so end users consent to your app. Exporting stored tokens out of Apideck is not self-serve today. If you need an exit path, agree it in your contract.

When a few deep CRM and ERP integrations matter more than breadth. Ampersand works on native objects, including custom objects and fields, and supports event subscriptions on 15 apps, mostly CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, Gong and Outreach. It can deliver data straight into a warehouse or message queue. Its Growth plan adds custom connectors built by Ampersand, and Enterprise adds hands-on implementation by its own experts, EU data residency and deployment in your own AWS or Google Cloud account. It raised a $15M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners in October 2026.

Ampersand lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, CCPA, HIPAA and GDPR on its pricing page. Apideck is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant, and hosts in the EU.
