The Challenge
Several factors drove the partnership with Apideck. Initially, Roopairs had built a QuickBooks desktop integration to meet the immediate needs of many customers - a solution that remains widely used today.
However, it became evident that smaller SMB customers were migrating to QuickBooks Online. At the same time, Unified APIs were emerging as a significant trend in the marketplace, prompting Roopairs to explore options. In the rapidly evolving world of integrations, they wanted to avoid building a single QBO integration only to face endless development projects for additional platforms.
Unified APIs offered a compelling value proposition. Roopairs decided to invest in this approach once and leverage that implementation to streamline future integrations. This was a strategy that proved highly successful.
While competitors exist in the market, their prohibitive pricing and Apideck's superior depth of API functions ultimately sealed the deal.
The Solution
For Alex Kavanaugh, Apideck's depth-first approach was particularly appealing, setting them apart from competitors who focused on breadth. This strategy directly addressed Roopairs' specific needs for a robust and enriched integration. While standard authentication options were attractive, they only solved part of the challenge.
After partnering with Apideck, Roopairs quickly discovered they offered a comprehensive solution suitable to their needs. The Results
The Roopairs team has achieved significant success with QuickBooks Online and now offers a seamless integration to their customers. Given the ease of implementation, they plan to soon enable connectors for Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and other accounting platforms to meet the requests from their growing customer base.
Building on their accounting integration success, Roopairs is exploring even further opportunities. They're considering implementing the CRM connector and file storage APIs to give customers more data storage options.
