HRIS Partnership Guide

When integrating with HRIS platforms through Apideck, different connectors have varying partnership requirements. Understanding these requirements is essential for planning your integration timeline and ensuring compliance with each platform's developer policies.

This guide categorizes our HRIS connectors into three groups based on their partnership requirements, helping you understand what's needed before going live with each integration.

Partnership Categories

πŸ”΄ Partnership Required

These platforms require the customer to register an OAuth app or developer account with the third-party service and enter the resulting credentials (Client ID, Client Secret, etc.) in the Apideck dashboard. Some also require the end-user to create or obtain credentials before connecting. Examples include Google Workspace, Factorial, and Okta.

πŸ”΅ Partnership Optional (Apideck Credentials Available)

For these connectors, Apideck has already established OAuth credentials that you can use. This means you can start integrating immediately without registering your own app with the third-party service. However, when your users authenticate, Apideck will be shown as the application requesting access. You may optionally register your own app if you prefer your own branding during the OAuth consent flow. Examples include Deel, Employment Hero, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 HR.

🟒 No Partnership Required

These connectors use API key, basic auth, custom authentication, or consumer-provided OAuth credentials β€” meaning there is no OAuth app registration needed on the customer side. Your end-users authenticate directly with their own credentials (API key, username/password, service user token, or consumer-provided OAuth credentials). Examples include BambooHR, HiBob, SAP SuccessFactors, and Personio.

  3. No customer-side configuration or partner registration is needed.

Partner Introduction Program

For connectors where partner introductions are available, Apideck can facilitate an introduction to the platform's partnership team. This can help expedite your application process and ensure you're connected with the right contacts. Reach out to your Apideck account manager or contact partners@apideck.com to request an introduction.
