When integrating with ecommerce platforms through Apideck, different connectors have varying partnership requirements. Understanding these requirements is essential for planning your integration timeline and ensuring compliance with each platform's developer policies.
This guide categorizes our ecommerce connectors into two groups based on their partnership requirements, helping you understand what's needed before going live with each integration.
Partnership Categories
š“ Partnership Required
These platforms require the customer to register as a developer or partner with the third-party service and obtain their own API credentials before going live. This typically involves completing a developer profile, agreeing to terms of service, and potentially passing a security or data protection review. Examples include Amazon Seller Central, Walmart, and Lightspeed E-series.
š¢ No Partnership Required
These connectors allow immediate integration without requiring any formal partnership. Connection is typically established directly through API keys generated in the platform's admin panel. Examples include Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Wix.
