Apideck Welcomes Tom Schouteden as COO

ANTWERP, Belgium, September 13, 2021 — Apideck, a Belgium-based SaaS company that provides developer solutions focused on integrating, monitoring, and showcasing API integrations, today announced the appointment of Tom Schouteden as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the board.

"Tom and I have been working together for quite some years now, as an investor and early believer," said Gertjan De Wilde, co-founder and CEO at Apideck. "So, in a sense, this isn't a new collaboration but a professionalization of our previous working relationship. Tom's experience in SaaS scaleups will be a key asset to our team in preparing Apideck for the next stage of its growth."

Tom will focus on setting up the operational part of the organization, including hiring for sales, marketing, and customer success leadership. Additionally, Tom will help implement SOC 2, HIPAA, and other key certifications to harden our security posture and compliance practices to continue our enterprise growth in the next few quarters.

Before joining Apideck, Tom served as CTO and later Chief Product Officer at Teamleader, a Belgium-based SaaS provider of work management solutions. Under his leadership, the product and engineering team doubled and further professionalized its product delivery capabilities. During his tenure at Teamleader, the company raised a $22 million Series C round and completed its first acquisition.

"I am extremely excited to join Apideck at this stage of the company," said Tom Schouteden. "In my previous positions, I witnessed the problems that Apideck is solving for developers first hand. There is a real and tangible benefit in being able to speed up integration development while at the same time significantly lowering maintenance costs, and I can't wait to help bring it to the market."
